Prince Albert II of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock attend the Global Champion Tour 2011 on June 24 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
-- Monaco's Royal Palace on Wednesday denied a published report that Prince Albert's bride-to-be, Charlene Wittstock, discovered information about the prince and tried to flee to her native South Africa but was stopped by police.
"The Royal Palace formally denies the false allegations published on the site www.lexpress.fr," the palace statement said, pointing out that the report was published "just days before the wedding ceremony between S.A.S. Prince Albert and Miss Charlene Wittstock."
(Ugh not everyone from S.A. is a Charlize Tjheron wannabe, I met a very attractive woman from there who looked was more in common with Necar Zadgan’s than Charlize).
"The sole intention of these rumors is to seriously damage the image of the Sovereign, as a result of damaging that of Miss Wittstock, and bear down on this happy event," the statement concluded.
Albert's adviser, Christiane Stahl, told CNN affiliate BFM-TV that the two were inititally "completely disappointed" by the story.
"Then, they were hurt, but not for long because they know, especially the prince, that rumors are part of his life. But I think that among all of what he has heard, this one was more hurtful than others because it is damaging and the purpose of this rumor is to damage a happy event, his wedding."
Monaco: Land of the rich debates future
The French news magazine L'Express reported Tuesday that a "shaken" Wittstock made a hasty departure to Nice Airport where she intended to board a one-way flight to South Africa, having discovered several hours before that the private life of her fiance was "not as exemplary as she imagined."
Sources were not named in the unsigned article. L'Express also reported that Wittstock, a former Olympic swimmer, was stopped by airport officials and that it took intense persuasion from Albert and his entourage to get her to stay and agree to go through with the marriage.
The 53-year-old prince and ruler of Monaco, the only son of Princess Grace and the late Prince Rainier, has never married.
In 2005, Albert publicly acknowledged having fathered a son with a flight attendant, and he has also acknowledged a daughter, now in her late teens.
Really? WTF did she expect? Albert of Monaco is Sovereign of one of the richest principalities in the world. A playground for the wealthy and famous. What she should be concerned about now is whether he is a good father as it will influence how their children grow up. Damn a lesbian has to shed the light of reality on high drama.
Gee, I remember when Albert attended a college that a friend of my attended and had an affair with an African American student.
The couple appeared contented Tuesday afternoon, when they were seen walking arm-in-arm along Monaco's Port Hercule, accompanied by musician Jean-Michel Jarre, who is to perform Friday evening as part of the wedding celebrations.
The lavish event is to take place over three days beginning on Friday, with a guest list that includes French President Nicolas Sarkozy, British model Naomi Campbell, fashion designer Giorgio Armani and British business mogul Richard Branson.
Monaco, a sovereign principality, is one of the smallest countries in the world, measuring just under 2 square miles. It sits on the French Riviera and is bordered on three sides by France. It has a population of about 33,000.

As she moves from Tea Party fringe to Republican presidential contender, her horrible anti-gay record deserves exposure.
iven the explosive excitement surrounding congresswoman Michele Bachmann's White House bid, it was perhaps no surprise that organisers of a Minneapolis conservative bloggers' conference, Right Online, over the weekend chose to introduce her with the infuriatingly catchy Katy Perry song "Firework."
Bachmann is now a real rock star of the hardcore Republican right and the Tea Party faithful. But the song choice showed a profound misunderstanding of popular culture. For Firework - whatever one thinks of its musical merits - is a gay anthem. The video Perry filmed to go with it preaches a message of universal tolerance and includes a young man coming to happy terms with his sexuality and kissing another man. Which, to put it mildly, is ironic for Bachmann and her legion of supporters.
For Bachmann is surely one of the most anti-gay mainstream candidates to run for the White House in recent years. A glance at Bachmann's record on gay issues shows a good part of her political philosophy and personal beliefs are based on preaching prejudice against a vulnerable minority of the American people. (One member of that community made her protest by "glitter-bombing" Bachmann as she left Right Online.) America has come a long way since segregationist George Wallace first ran for president in 1964. But swap blacks for gays in some Bachmann comments and it becomes clear that some politicians have come less far than others.
Bachmann has spearheaded fights to get a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in Minnesota. That, in itself, is not too unusual. But what is unusual is the fervency of Bachmann's anti-gay agenda. Her stance does not seem cynical politicking to her base. It seems rooted in her core beliefs and evangelical religious outlook. Bachmann, after all, once hid behind some bushes to keep an eye on a gay rally in St Paul, Minnesota. In another notorious incident, when two lesbians once approached Bachmann in a bathroom to talk about her anti-gay opinions, the congresswoman claimed she was being kidnapped and fled to police to try and press charges (the authorities took a dim view of the complaint and declined to pursue the matter). In 2004, she called being gay "part of Satan." In the same year, she also compared it to slavery, saying:
"If you're involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it's bondage. It is personal bondage, personal despair and personal enslavement."
She's said teaching young children about gay people is akin to child abuse and has claimed that gays have a "sexual dysfunction." She believes gays specifically target children and has said repeatedly that she believes America is on a path that will eventually see young people forced to "try" being gay.
Of course, for Bachmann, this is close to home. Her husband Marcus Bachmann - who is a major influence in his wife's political career and beliefs - runs a Christian counseling business in Minnesota. He has referred to gays as "barbarians":
"We have to understand that barbarians need to be educated, need to be disciplined. And just because someone thinks (they're gay) or feels it doesn't mean we need to go down that road. That's what is called the sinful nature."
Marcus Bachmann has denied that he runs courses seeking to "cure" people of their homosexuality. But in 2005, he spoke at a conference and, according to a gay activist present, ended his presentation with testimony from three people who claimed to have been "cured" of their gayness and were now straight. His speech was called "The Truth About the Homosexual Agenda."
But what is really scary about Bachmann's anti-gay beliefs are how they have run roughshod over her own family life. Some high-profile conservatives, such as former Vice President Dick Cheney, have softened their stances or embraced gay rights because they have out and proud members of their own family. Just this week, New York Post columnist Andrea Peyser shed her normally strident conservatism to write a moving tribute to the lesbian marriage of a favorite niece. But Bachmann stays rigid even when her own family members are gay.
Bachmann's step-sister, Helen LeFave, is a lesbian. The two were close as they grew up together in their teens. Not surprisingly Bachmann's anti-gay comments have not gone down well with her, or several other relatives. They have written letters to newspapers opposing Bachmann's stance or appeared at political hearings on attempts to ban gay marriage. Yet, even in the face of having gay relatives in her own family, Bachmann is unwavering. No doubt, that is what many of her fans love about her.
She is a real conviction politician in an era where most presidential aspirants love their focus groups first and foremost. But what a shame one of Bachmann's core convictions is naked prejudice against some of her fellow citizens and a wish to deny them the basic rights afforded to everyone else.
In a new spread for V magazine, Anna Paquin discusses her bisexuality openly for one of the first times since she publicly came out in a 2010 PSA for We Give a Damn. She told the mag:
Frankly no one had ever asked me before. There is a lot of prejudice against us but the more people talk about it, the less of a deal it will be. Who people choose to sleep with – or spend their lives with-shouldn’t matter, not that anyone particularly cares who I’m attracted to.
Is this B*tch Joking or what? The REAL concern with the entire Bisexuality issue lay with the fact that Ms. Paquin is securely reaping the benefits of heterosexual marriage [Marriage Equality may not reach many of us in our lifetimes] while using women to satisfy her suppressed homosexual urges. Why don’t bisexuals ever address the real issue?
This is some major bullshit: Come the on Anna, are you seriously attempting to justify the fact that your primary loyalties lay with the male species and that it’s okay to objectify women by using them in a one a dimensional manner (sexually?)
I wish lesbian websites would stop pandering to males, look if a person is bisexual then as “Elena” would say: It is what it is. However there is no reason to not be truthful or real about it.
I have never met a bisexual woman that has been in a long term relationship with an emotionally healthy lesbian.
A conservative 5-4 majority of justices said the law violated free speech.
Washington -- The Supreme Court has tossed out an Arizona law that provides extra taxpayer-funded support for office seekers who have been outspent by privately funded opponents or by independent political groups.
A conservative 5-4 majority of justices on Monday said the law violated free speech, concluding the state was impermissibly trying to "level the playing field" through a public finance system.
This is what happens when people elect "conservative" Republican presidents. So-called conservatives then dominate the Supreme Court. It is truly obscene that they are systematically obliterating any hope for a healthy democracy not poisoned by the undue influence of money. They are simply handing democracy over to moneyed interests. Once the wealthy and big business are able to spend as much as they like influencing voters, they win. That's because more money buys more influence among voters, which, of course, translates into legislation and policy that favors those with money.
President Obama didn't take a single dime from public financed Campaign money - almost all of it coming from small donations ($20 was the average) from average Americans....not MILLIONS from Corporations who I don't know...might have a stake (through lobbyists) on how the government is run and what laws get passed. I'm a Progressive and find this very upsetting. This is the whole reason why they tried to pass this law - so that politicians can compete against those with corporate interests in their pockets.
Voting poorly and not voting at all have consequences. We're suffering immensely from the disastrous the Bush presidency, from our wrecked economy to our illegal, ugly wars to an extreme far right supreme court that has horrors placed on the bench by Bush.
Max Read — Former congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, were spotted at Manhattan restaurant Bottega on Saturday. The pair "spent most of the meal chained to their cell phones," which means that Weiner was probably sexting.
Abedin, according to the server, "looked miserable," while Weiner was "really tense." Which could mean that they are having a really difficult time, or, it is annoying to eat at a popular restaurant right after you or your husband resigns from Congress for sending pictures of his dong to a bunch of women. But they held hands and got ice cream, so, who knows, maybe everything's okay.
Huma should follow Elin (the former Mrs. Tiger Woods) and leave this prick. She doesn’t look at all happy and being pregnant she doesn’t need the added stress of dealing with an asshole, who like most men have control issues with their penis’. It’s absolutely pathological I say.

We've all been spending the last few weeks skimming through silly, summer news stories like the president having an illegal war in Libya and the global economy drifting perilously close to a double-dip recession, waiting on edge for real news about Sarah Palin getting back on a bus and driving through more states. When oh when will the Tour de Grift resume for its promised second leg through the Heartland? Perhaps never, sadly.
Real Clear Politics' top Sarah Palin reporter, Scott Conroy, has another scoop about the Palins, who may be too exhausted after the last spurt of grifting to grift any further:
Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.
As Palin enjoys her sojourn to the 49th state, she has not reconnected with key early-state figures like Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and she may have jeopardized whatever political momentum she gained from her recent reemergence in the 2012 discussion. Her political action committee's website still greets visitors with a stale banner, announcing the nationwide bus tour beginning "[t]his Sunday, May 29th."
More than a few of Palin's core supporters have grown impatient and confused about her strategy, venting their frustration on Internet fan sites (Clue: Palin has NO strategy).
Summering in Alaska with many millions of dollars in the bank sounds like a fine idea. Still: She will probably be in the news again at some point!
Hello Cheeky Monkeys, I am finally online give me a day or two to update you on the nightmare of upgrading my DSL service. I hope you enjoyed the movies and episodes of Femme Fatales.

The following story is why Sarah Palin should stop her fake Presidential Campaign, she’s NOT going to run and like Donald Trump she is NOTHING but an under educated and illiterate media whore. People will continue to expose her duplicitous behavior until she resigns her self to her inevitable fate as a Non-Sequitur.
Documents from ex-Gov. Sarah Palin's administration have been released after Freedom of Information Act requests.
Juneau, Alaska (CNN) -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin moved quickly to link a key figure in a corruption scandal that rocked the state's political establishment to her defeated predecessor, newly released documents show.
"FYI -- I've asked Frank Bailey to help me track down soem [sic] evidence of past administration's dealing with Bill Allen," Palin wrote on May 8, 2007, a day after Allen pleaded guilty to bribery, extortion and conspiracy.
The document is one of the roughly 24,000 pages of records from Palin's administration released by Alaska state officials on Friday.
Allen had been the CEO of the Alaska oilfield services company VECO, and federal prosecutors accused him of leading a scheme to bribe top lawmakers in exchange for favorable state action.
The day after Allen's guilty plea, Palin sent e-mails to staffers asking for information on his ties to her predecessor, Frank Murkowski. Palin had beaten Murkowski in 2006 in a primary battle in which she campaigned as a reformer and backed an unsuccessful 2010 challenge to Murkowski's daughter, U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
Aides soon replied that VECO had paid $15,000 to fly Murkowski and Allen to a Council of State Governments meeting in Thailand in 2004. Palin aides also asked Allen to resign from a seat on a state board that cultivated ties with the Canadian province of Alberta, a request to which Allen -- who was later sentenced to three years in prison -- quickly agreed.
The document dump follows Freedom of Information Act requests filed by CNN and five other news agencies, filed shortly after Palin was tapped to be Sen. John McCain's GOP vice presidential running mate in 2008. She is now seen as a possible presidential candidate in 2012, and a spokesman for her political action committee said the records will show "a governor hard at work."
"The thousands upon thousands of emails released today show a very engaged Governor Sarah Palin being the CEO of her state," said Tim Crawford, treasurer of Sarah PAC.
Palin resigned in July 2009, about 2.5 years into her four-year term, complaining partly about a number of ethics complaints filed by her political opponents.
You will not believe the insanity that I’ve been through merely because I wanted to
terminate my home phone service in favor of “Free Standing” DSL.
If you don’t know what free standing DSL is, it’s when you can receive high speed internet through your telephone landline without having to actually have telephone service.
So I called and ordered the stand alone DSL. Then I cancelled my phone service and I was happy to do so. I am not xenophobic or jingo-istic by nature but there’s nothing better than dealing with Good Ol’ American incompetence and I sure wish that I had been.
After a week of my telephone service NOT being terminated and being told that my request was “rejected” without any explanation why, I was forced to contact the U.S. agency in charge of Communications (FCC) who directed me to my state agency (SCC).
Now I was back on home turf speaking with a customer service representative\, whose Dixie accent was soothing. She contacted the telephone company an d the very next day I received a call from the President of AT&T office and my phone service termination request was personally processed. Fucking Un believable!
However my telephone service will not be officially terminated until Monday June 13 and that means that I cannot order the DSL service until Tuesday the 14th and then it will take up to ten days for the service to actually begin. So the week of June 14, 2011 there will not be any blogs posted.
Thank you for you patience and understanding.
Model LaShawna M. Threatt died after falling out of a 10th story window of the Atlanta W hotel. According to Atlanta Police, LaShawna M. Threatt and her best friend Ciara Williams were “play fighting” when they accidentally crashed through the window around 3:15 a.m. LaShawna M. Threatt died of her injuries, Ciara Williams is in critical condition. Witness say Ciara Williams hit a ledge then landed another 20 feet onto the patio.
Lashawna Threatt fell five stories on to a sunroom roof, she was dead before help could reach her. Atlanta Police Department’s homicide unit’s spokesman Paul Guerrucci said “They were play wrestling and the next thing you know, they went toward the window and through the window and out they went,” Guerrucci added “According to the witnesses, there was no arguing during the hours leading up to this, either, so it’s really a tragic accident,”
According to reports a group of at least 20 were celebrating LaShawna M. Threatt’s 30th birthday on the rooftop of the W hotel in Atlanta. Unfortunately now one friend is in the hospital clinging for life and they have to plan a funeral for the other.
Hotel manager Michael O’Donohue issued the statement “The incident at the W Atlanta early Saturday is very tragic and our thoughts and prayers are with the woman who was injured and the family and friends of the woman who died in the fall,”
As you can tell by these photos Lashawna M. Threatt had a promising career in modeling.
What I don’t understand is: At what level of roughness were they “play” fighting”, because as one witness who was awakened by the noise of the tragedy: “The windows are thick and well sealed....it would take a lot of pressure to break through. I believe that what started playfully may have developed into real fighting if it wasn’t real fighting from the beginning.

(Didn’t I tell you the “Leaked Trailer” was a Fake? Those Sh*t Heads at Columbia have released the trailer again and here it is.]
To remake The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? I had previously written that it wasn’t considering that the original movie was released in 2009 or so. I argued that the remake wouldn’t capture the visceral raw sex and violence that made Noomi Rapace’s performance so squeamishly memorable, that the remake was done to only make money from xenophobic and illiterate U.S. movie goers.
The leaked trailer is obviously a publicity stunt. As a viewer of leaked materials on the internet. I know that if this leak had been legitimate, then it would have been the ENTIRE movie. Simple as That.
A New York Time’s writer stated that the U.S. version will be glossier than the original Swedish version that he likened to a television movie.
Why do many Americans always act so arrogant? Why do they equate flash and glitz with something being innately superior? I AM American and the Bottom line in the 2011 remake of: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo remains to be seen.
Will Roony Mara’s performance equal the raw intensity of Noomi Rapace’s as the boyish Lisbeth Salander? I doubt it. Why? Because it’s a Hollywood production. I will concede though that if it were to be a Sony “Classics” (which it is not) product that it may at minimum be tolerable. Yeah the preview is catchy but previews always are.
Nonetheless merely choosing an actor with a unique stage name, and making a movie that is sleek and stylish without strong writing and acting is how do they say? Oh yeah, it’s like putting: “Lipstick On Pig.”
Until We Meet Again, Your Patience is Appreciated.
